Ravens Trends

  • Record: 2-5 (2-5)

  • Lamar Jackson was expected to be ready to play coming out of Baltimore’s bye, but they gave him a few extra days to get healthy. Tyler Huntley led the Ravens to a much-needed victory against the Bears, posting 186/1 passing and 8/53 rushing for 16.7 FP in Week 8. Jackson accounted for 3+ TDs and 26.3+ FP in his first three games before picking up his hamstring injury during Week 4. Miami gives up the 11th-fewest passing YPG (211.5) and second-most schedule-adjusted FPG to QBs on the ground (+1.6). The Dolphins haven’t been tested by Kirk Cousins and Dillon Gabriel the last two weeks, but Justin Herbert posted 264/2 passing against them in Week 6.

  • Zay Flowers turned in 7/63 receiving on 9 targets (41%) and an 88% route share playing with Huntley in Week 9. He’s reached 5+ receptions and 71+ scrimmage yards six times in seven tries. Miami deploys Cover 2 (29.5%) and Cover (22.5%) at a 52% clip, and he averages 1.92 YPRR and .26 TPRR on 93 routes against those coverages. The Dolphins give up the fewest receiving YPG (76.8) and the eighth-fewest YPRR (1.82) to receivers aligned out wide.

  • Mark Andrews has failed to top 10 FP in four straight games since Lamar initially picked up his injury in Week 4. He caught all 3 of his targets (14%) for 34 yards on a 56% route share, while Isaiah Likely caught both of his targets (9%) for 8 yards on a 60% route share. Miami deploys Cover 2 (29.5%) and Cover (22.5%) at a 52% clip, and he averages 1.35 YPRR and .18 TPRR on 62 routes against those coverages. Miami allows the seventh-most receiving YPG (63.6) and the seventh-most receptions per game (6.3) to TEs. Kyle Pitts posted 9/59 receiving in this matchup last week.

  • Derrick Henry failed to top 50 rushing yards and 15 carries in four straight games in Weeks 2-5, but he logged 24/122 rushing in Week 6 against the Rams and 21/71/2 rushing out of their bye against the Bears. He led Justice Hill (snap share (61%>29%), carry share (60%>3%), and route share (28%>24%) with the Ravens playing from ahead, and they enter this week as 7-point road favorites. Henry averaged 5.8 YPC in four games with Lamar compared to 3.8 YPC in his last three games. The Dolphins give up the 12th-fewest adjusted YBC/ATT (1.81), 5.0 YPC, and the third-most rushing YPG (117.6). Miami limited Bijan Robinson to 9/25 rushing last week, but they were crushed for 22.8+ FP by Quinshon Judkins, Kimani Vidal, and Rico Dowdle in Weeks 5-7.

  • Record: 2-6 (4-4)
  • Tua Tagovailoa is coming off his best performance of the season in a victory over the Falcons, completing 20/26 passes for 205 yards (7.9 YPA) and 4 TDs for 24.2 FP in Week 8. He’s thrown for multiple TDs five times in eight games, but he’s reached 20+ FP just twice. Tagovailoa is averaging just 6.6 YPA and 189.8 passing YPG through eight games. The Ravens deploy the third-highest rate of man coverage (39.4%), and he averages 5.90 YPA with a -.6% CPOE and 2/6 rushing on 43 dropbacks against man. Baltimore gives up the sixth-most passing YPG (259.6) and the fifth-most passing TDs per game (2.0) to QBs.
  • Jaylen Waddle rebounded from his one-catch performance in Week 7 by posting 5/99/1 receiving on 6 targets (22%) for 20.9 FP. Waddle reached 5+ receptions, 95+ yards, and 15.8+ FP in three of his four games without Tyreek Hill. The Ravens deploy the third-highest rate of man coverage (39.4%), and he averages 1.89 YPRR and .29 TPRR on 35 routes against man. The Ravens allow the 14th-most YPRR (2.01) and the eighth-most receiving YPG (117.9) to receivers aligned out wide. Rome Odunze posted 7/114 receiving in this matchup last week.
  • Malik Washington finally reached double-digit FP in a victory over the Falcons, posting 4/36/1 receiving on 5 targets (19%) and a 62% snap share in Week 8. He’s totaled 4+ catches in four straight games since Hill’s injury, but he’s yet to top 36 receiving yards because of his low aDOT role. The Ravens deploy the third-highest rate of man coverage (39.4%), and he averages .55 YPRR and .16 TPRR on routes against man. D.J. Moore posted 4/73 receiving in this matchup last week.
  • De’Von Achane got home for fantasy with 18/67 rushing and 5/24/1 receiving on 7 targets, but the Dolphins featured Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright more in a victory over the Falcons. Achane led Gordon in snap share (66%>32%), carry share (49%>27%), and route share (61%>14%) in Week 8. Achane has reached 16.1+ FP, 75+ scrimmage yards, and 3+ receptions seven times in eight games. Baltimore gives up the eighth-fewest adjusted YBC/ATT (1.66), the 10th-most rushing YPG (103.9), and the eighth-most receiving YPG (37.7) to RBs. D’Andre Swift posted 11/45/1 rushing and 2/26 receiving in this matchup last week.
