Week 4 Stat-Pack

With no McCaffrey, Barkley, Thomas, Adams, Julio, and Kittle, Week 3 felt a little hollow. The Seahawks and Cowboys both went off and Kamara looks like he’s going to carry fantasy teams all year long, but by and large, this past week was a bit of a snooze fest. And Week 4 might be even weirder. So it goes in 2020. The good news is that we now have three games under our belts and some clear trends are emerging. Here is your Week 4 Stat Pack:

Atlanta Falcons

  • Calvin Ridley ranks 1st in fantasy points, 2nd in yards, 3rd in targets, and 6th in yards per route run.

  • Ridley leads the NFL in air yards (478), red-zone targets (13) and end-zone targets (7).

  • Ridley already has 18 targets of 15+ yards downfield, which is by far the most in the NFL.

Arizona Cardinals

  • DeAndre Hopkins is averaging 10.7 receptions per game, which puts him on pace for 171 for the full season.

  • Hopkins leads the NFL in target share (36%), which is even higher than his 32% league-leading target share last year.

  • Kyler Murray leads all QBs in rushing fantasy points (42.7) but he’s 19th in passing fantasy points (42.4).

  • Kenyan Drake has handled 78% of the non-QB carries but just 32% of the RB targets.

  • Drake has run 67 routes to Chase Edmonds’ 49.

Baltimore Ravens

  • Ravens RB snaps so far: J.K. Dobbins (67), Mark Ingram (66), Gus Edwards (48)

  • After two bad games, Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews both look like great buy-lows. The Ravens passing offense is concentrated around them with Brown and Andrews controlling 48% of the targets and 63% of the air yards.

Buffalo Bills

  • Per SIS, Josh Allen ranks 1st in passer rating on play-action, 3rd when under pressure, 3rd in the pocket, and 7th when kept clean.

  • On throws of 10 or more yards downfield, Allen ranks fifth-best in on-target rate (74%).

  • Last year, Allen ranked 25th in on target throw rate on throws of 10 or more yards (60%).

  • Over his last 24 starts, Allen has scored 17.5 or more fantasy points 21 times. He’s gone over 20 fantasy points 18 times in this span.

  • Without Zack Moss (toe) last week, Devin Singletary was on the field for 55 of the Bills 62 plays (89%).

Carolina Panthers

  • In his first start without CMC, Mike Davis played on 76% of Panthers’ snaps, he ran a route on 71% of passing plays, and handled 68% of the carries.

  • Davis already has 16 receptions through five quarters without CMC, which is tied with Austin Ekeler for second-most among RBs.

  • D.J. Moore has seen 25% of the targets while Robby Anderson is at 24%.

Chicago Bears

  • David Montgomery has seen 16 or more opportunities (carries + targets) in 14 of his 19 career games. His role is obviously further solidified with Tarik Cohen (ACL) on IR.

  • Allen Robinson has handled 28% of Bears’ targets while Miller is second at 12%.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • J.K. Dobbins has scored more fantasy points than Joe Mixon despite seeing 44 fewer touches.

  • Mixon has run 75 routes to Gio Bernard’s 59, but Mixon has nine targets to Bernard’s 15.

  • 12 running backs have seen 45 or more carries and Mixon is the only one without a rushing touchdown.

  • A.J. Green ranks 73rd-of-83 WRs in yards per route run per PFF.

Cleveland Browns

  • Odell Beckham ranks tied for 22nd among all players in targets while Jarvis Landry ranks 97th.

  • The Browns have run the ball on 71% of their first-downs, which is the highest rate in the league.

  • Chubb and Hunt have split snaps 105 to 85.

  • Hunt has 11 targets to Chubb’s 3.
