2024 SGP SEASON POST-MORTEM

The 2024 season was an unfortunate downswing after the overwhelming success of 2023. Last year, this series of articles finished with a loss of -22.77 units:

After the down year, the overall result after two seasons of writing this series of articles is a profit of +37.81 units (2023 tracker can be found here). For bets focused on same-game parlays, that’s quite successful.
Our overall win-loss record on wagers is 47-363. With the odds we’re betting at, it’s very possible to win fewer than 20% of our bets and still finish with a sizable profit.
As we head into year three, I am going to experiment with reducing the units risked in each article to stabilize the variance we will undoubtedly experience throughout the season. You will see below that the recommended unit size for the Basic Ticket has been halved for now. I also plan to include supplemental straight bets occasionally.
Remember, you should price your unit within your means — whatever allows you to track every single bet I publish. With the wild volatility of SGPs, it's essential to follow them all, as neither you nor I can accurately predict which bets will be winners. We're going to lose far more often than we win, but with the strategic risk recommended, the wins will more than make up for the losses. Balancing SGP play with regular player and game props from our talented betting team is great for maintaining account health with the various sportsbooks.
