2025 Week 4 Players to Trade/Trade For

My goal with this article is very simple: I’m trying to isolate players whose values — both perceived and in reality — will be shifting in the near future. I’m always looking ahead, always looking for opportunities to buy or sell every week after I watch all the games, scan all the data, and examine all the schedules.

It’s hard not to list some of the more obvious entries, but I try to think both outside and inside the box, so I’ll sometimes stray from my logical approach and come out of left field every once in a while with a recommendation. Whatever it takes to find an edge in the trade market.

PLAYERS TO TRADE FOR

Josh Jacobs (RB, GB) — We can never figure out the pass target pecking order in GB, but in the first full game without Jayden Reed, it was Jacobs who was the featured receiving weapon. He had a 36% target share, which was 55% more than the next receiver (Matthew Golden - 16%). This was Jacobs’ highest single-game target share since at least 2021. Jacobs has played in 93% of his potential NFL games so far in his career (93 of 100), so he really has it all in terms of availability and role. He’s getting 83% of the backfield XFP with an excellent 22.7 opportunities per game so far in 2025, but with Jordan Love proving that he’s still not immune to making an egregious mistake, that number could actually be on the rise. His schedule also looks pretty soft for his next five matchups: at Dal, vs Cin, at Ari, at Pit, and vs Car.
