Week 4 Weather Report

By Andrew Cloxton Certified Meteorologist

After three pretty easy weeks weather-wise, it looks like we may have some heavy rain and thunderstorms in a few games. Scattered showers typically don’t impact fantasy performances, but persistent heavy rain which is in the forecast for Tampa and Miami can. There will be an area of very heavy rain setting up in Central and South Florida on Sunday. I urge you to check back on Sunday morning, because if that heavy rain sets up over either of these two games, it may force the teams to modify their game plans.

1 PM Games

Indianapolis at Chicago- The rain at Soldier Field should be over by gametime, and increasing sunshine is expected. . High temps will be in the mid 50s, with NW 10-15 mph.

Jacksonville at Cincinnati- There will be a 60% chance of showers at Paul Brown Stadium, with game time temps in the lower 60s. Winds S 5-10 mph.

Cleveland at Dallas- Inside AT&T Stadium.

New Orleans at Detroit- Inside Ford Field.

Seattle at Miami- Breezy, with a good chance of rain at Hard Rock Stadium for this early kickoff. 60% chance of rain, with high temps in the mid 80s. SE winds 12-18 mph.

Los Angeles Chargers at Tampa Bay- The rain chances at Raymond James Stadium will be high (at least 80%), with heavy downpours likely. High temps will be near 80 with East winds 8-12 mph.

Bottom Line: If the heavy rain shield sets up over Tampa during the game, it may force both teams to more of a ground game. In season long, you always start your studs, but in DFS this may impact the QB’s and receivers.

Baltimore at Washington- Finally a game with sunshine, as high temps will be near 70 at FedEx Field. Winds north 5-8 mph.

Arizona at Carolina- Mostly sunny at Bank of America Stadium, with kickoff temps near 70. Winds NNE 5-8 mph.

Minnesota at Houston- Inside NRG Stadium.
