Zach Charbonnet - Foot
Charbs is doubtful. Start Ken Walker with confidence everywhere. But now keep an eye on his workloads and how he comes out of Week 3.
Projected Return: Week 4-5
Christian Kirk - Hamstring
If you’re desperate, pick up Kirk and slot him in. Just know he’s highly volatile this week due to reinjury risk.
Projected Return: Week 3
Tucker Kraft - Knee
Kraft will play in Week 3. Just start him.
Projected Return: Week 5-6
Joe Burrow - Turf Toe
Burrow is out for the rest of 2025 unless the Bengals make a deep playoff run.
Projected Return: 2026
J.J. McCarthy - High Ankle
McCarthy is out with a high ankle sprain. For QBs, only 17% miss two or more games, and the average missed amount of time is one game. With that said, the Vikings will likely slow-play it based on his rehab progress and his struggles on the field so far.
Projected Return: Week 4-5
Justin Fields - Concussion
Fields needs to clear protocol by Saturday night. Remember that these aren’t linear, and he could just as easily have a setback on Friday.
Projected Return: TBD
Update: Ruled out Week 3
Aaron Jones - Hamstring
Jones has been dealing with hamstring injuries for a long time now. Hamstring injuries result in a significant variation in missed time and tend to recur, leading to dips in production with a boom-and-bust nature once the player returns. At 30 years old and the Vikings’ conservative nature, it would be surprising to see Jones play. Even if he does, his reinjury risk is high. It is now Jordan Mason time.
Projected Return: Week 5-6
