Best PrizePicks Plays: 2025 NFL Week 2

Week 1 shook off the rust — now it’s time to sharpen up. NFL teams weren’t the only ones shaking off rust. We won’t let a 2-for-5 week stop us! It is time to get back at it with some assistance from the Fantasy Points PrizePicks Pick Finder — this time with the hope for a more productive week.

Every week, I’ll highlight the biggest discrepancies between Fantasy Points’ expert projections and PrizePicks projections. These gaps open up valuable opportunities you can act on immediately — whether you’re aiming for short-term wins or laying the groundwork for season-long success.

NFL Week 2 Picks

Justin Fields (QB, NYJ)
  • Fantasy Score (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 17.5

  • Fantasy Points: 19.3

Buffalo just gave up 29.4 fantasy points to Lamar Jackson on only 19 pass attempts. Fields isn’t Jackson, but he opened 2026 with 29.5 fantasy points of his own. This matchup sets up as another high-scoring battle where the Jets will need Fields to push past 30 combined pass and rush attempts. With Josh Allen keeping pressure on the scoreboard, Fields delivers enough volume to beat this projection.

Nico Collins (WR, HST)
  • Fantasy Score (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 15.5

  • Fantasy Points: 17.3

Collins and the Texans let fantasy managers down in Week 1, but this is a classic bounce-back spot. Tampa’s secondary just surrendered 298 passing yards (albeit on 42 attempts), and their high pressure rate forces quarterbacks into quick reads. That sets Collins up as CJ Stroud’s first option behind a still-gelling offensive line. Collins has too much talent to stay quiet — expect him to rebound in Week 2.

Trey McBride (TE, ARZ)
  • Receiving Yards (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 61.5

  • Fantasy Points: 72.1

McBride commanded a 30.1% 1st read target percentage in Week 1 compared to Marvin Harrison Jr.’s 21.7%. That margin is even wider than last year (even though his 1st read target percentage is slightly down), showing the Cardinals’ trust in McBride as their go-to weapon. This sets up well against Carolina. Carolina just allowed 65 yards to Brenton Strange and Hunter Long, making this matchup a perfect opportunity for McBride to pile up yardage again.

Omarion Hampton (RB, LAC)
  • Rushing Yards (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 57.5

  • Fantasy Points: 73.7

Hampton’s debut didn’t match the hype a 1st round pick commands, but the workload was there — 15 carries as the Chargers leaned on the pass. Even a modest bump from 3.2 to 4.0 yards per carry clears this projection. Rookie TreVeyon Henderson averaged 5.4 yards per carry against New England last week, showing there’s room to run. Expect Hampton to handle another strong workload and turn it into production.

De’Von Achane (RB, MIA)
  • Rush Yards (Standard) — MORE

  • PrizePicks: 60.5

  • Fantasy Points: 82.3

Miami left very little hope for the future. It was a tough Week 1 against the Colts. Achane still looked like his explosive self. It was tough to see Achane get only 7 carries. New England was a positive matchup last season. If Miami avoids an early deficit and his touches climb, Achane’s speed makes 60 yards a reachable floor.

Additional Picks

Cedric Tillman (WR, CLV)
  • Receiving Yards (Demon) — MORE
  • PrizePicks: 49.5
  • Fantasy Points: 52.5

Harold Fannin Jr. rightfully earned all of the hype after leading the Browns in targets during Week 1, but Tillman has been incredibly impressive when healthy. Tillman quietly matched Jerry Jeudy in targets during Week 1. He already burned Baltimore in an upset last season, and Cleveland may again face a negative game script. That sets Tillman up for steady volume, and his downfield ability makes him a high-upside Demon play this week.

Bijan Robinson (RB, ATL)
  • Receiving Yards (Demon) — MORE
  • PrizePicks: 29.5
  • Fantasy Points: 33.2

Robinson reminded everyone why he’s electric, surpassing this projection on a single play in Week 1.

He’s projected for 4.5 receptions, and even modest efficiency at that volume clears this mark. Atlanta won’t ask Michael Penix Jr. to throw 42 times again, but Robinson remains the engine of the offense and a slam-dunk Demon play in Week 2.

J.J. McCarthy (QB, MIN)
  • Receiving Yards (Goblin) — MORE
  • PrizePicks: 179.5
  • Fantasy Points: 241.0

McCarthy needed a half to settle in during his debut, but once he did, he looked like a legitimate starter. The volume wasn’t there for a big yardage day, but Week 2 sets up better. Atlanta ran 70 plays last week, and Minnesota won’t stay stuck at 40 again. With more snaps comes more attempts, giving McCarthy every chance to push past this projection as he grows into the role.
