2023 Week 10 Streaming D/STs

Depending on the game you watched last Sunday, you might’ve thought you stumbled upon the XFL. That’s because the quarterback position has never been in worse shape across the league. Some teams have injuries. Others employ pathetic options. It’s affecting fantasy production along with watchability. But as D/ST streamers, we can take advantage of these low-end options.

WEEK 10 BYES: EAGLES, CHIEFS, DOLPHINS, RAMS

Las Vegas Raiders (LV, 49%) vs. NYJ – If you read this article last week, then you might already have the Raiders on your roster. They destroyed the Giants. Vegas recorded eight sacks and two interceptions while allowing just six points. Now, Zach Wilson and his limited skillset come to town. This likely won’t be as dominating, but the Raiders have some momentum and will pressure Wilson into turnover-prone situations. Per our OL/DL Matchups Tool, the Jets grade as the fourth-worst pass-protecting matchup of the week.

Seattle Seahawks (SEA, 41%) vs. WAS – Throw out the tape of Seattle’s Week 9 game. Next Sunday, the 12’s welcome Washington to the Pacific Northwest. The Commanders, even in a win vs. New England, gave up three sacks and turned the ball over twice. Sam Howell is someone we want to key on every single time we add a D/ST. I think Seattle bounces back in a big way.

Cincinnati Bengals (CIN, 28%) vs. HOU – This isn’t your Father’s Bengals defense. DC Lou Anarumo has his bunch flying around the field. All week, you’ll hear about Houston’s amazing comeback win, but that was against a Bucs defense that offered little resistance. Cincy should be able to wreak havoc on Houston’s one-dimensional offense. Last week, Houston ran for just 53 yards while converting just three of 11 third downs. Per Fantasy Points Data, the Bengals rank fifth in the league in Pressure Rate Over Expectation – in simple terms, they get to the QB early and often.

Detroit Lions (DET, 31%) @LAC – Some might see Justin Herbert on the other side and click elsewhere, but Detroit is playing defense at a high level. Since Week 6, Detroit has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per Fantasy Points Data. It’s not the ideal matchup, but if you are in a bind, the Lions can turn Herbert over and notch a few sacks.

Atlanta Falcons (ATL, 50%) @ARI – Welcome back Kyler Murray. The Cardinals' franchise QB returns after rehabbing an ACL injury. While excitement is building for those with Arizona playmakers, you also can’t count out the rust factor. Who knows how much Murray will opt to run? Could he hold the ball a beat longer in the pocket? The Falcons pass rush has generated 14 sacks over the past four games along with five turnovers. You could do worse than Artie Smith’s boys.

DFS Plays (DraftKings)

Cowboys ($4400) – My goodness, Tommy DeVito is on the road against a Dallas team coming off a crushing loss. Pray for that kid. It’s expensive, but they’ll likely pay off. Dallas did score 37 against this Giants team in Week 1.

Ravens ($4100) – Here’s a unit that has scored double-digit DK points in five of nine weeks. This price point will likely scare off DFS players, but I do not doubt that Baltimore can force Deshaun Watson into turnovers and sacks.

Buccaneers ($3500) – Will Levis is a total wild card. He’s got an electric arm, but he also stands in the pocket like he’s waiting for a bus. I wouldn’t say I like playing a mediocre defense at this price, so I’ll likely go elsewhere, but it’s a GPP option.

Cardinals ($2500) – This isn’t a good defense, but they’re cheap and playing Taylor Heinicke. Why not?

Jaguars ($2400) – Per Fantasy Points Data, the 49ers have been pressured on 36.9% of their dropbacks during their three-game losing streak. That’s bottom-12 in the league during that stretch. If you think the clock has struck midnight on Brock Purdy, this is a play for you.
