CFB DraftKings Cash & Single Entry: November 27

The final week of the regular season of college football is here! I’m sad that we have our last big main slate this week.

This slate has some really fun WR options, but several question marks at QB and RB. Is Aidan O’Connell a lock versus Indiana? Do we need to spend up on our 2nd QB? Is Chase Brown a lock at RB versus Northwestern? Will Blake Corum play this week? Can we fit Jameson Williams in our lineups at $8.6K? Is this the week we pivot off David Bell? Which Ohio State WR do we choose?

Let’s dig in…

Against the Spread Picks

Virginia (-7.0) vs Virginia Tech
Wisconsin (-7.0) vs Minnesota
Florida State (+2.5) vs Florida

Total Wagers

Virginia vs Virginia Tech (Over 62.5)
Alabama vs Auburn (Over 56.0)
Florida State vs Florida (Over 59.0)

Quarterbacks

Bryce Young, Alabama vs Auburn (DK: $9.7K | FD: $10.7K | O/U: 56.0 | Implied: 37.75)

Bryce Young has put his name squarely in the Heisman race after producing 30-plus fantasy points five times in the last six weeks, averaging 34.01 FPG. He is coming off back-to-back weeks with 5 TD passes. He is one of the hottest QBs in college football, peaking at the right time. The Auburn DEF is ranked 71st in QB FPG (22.6), 78th in PASS YPG (235.9), and 65th in PASS YPA (7.3). If you can afford him this week, then Young should be in your lineup as the top QB on the slate.

Aidan O’Connell, Purdue vs Indiana (DK: $6.5K | FD: $9.0K | O/U: 50.5 | Implied: 32.75)

Aidan O’Connell has been insanely good over the last three weeks, averaging 449.67 PASS YPG and 3.33 TDs per game for 33.65 FPG. This week, O’Connell faces an Indiana DEF ranked 70th in QB FPG (22.5), 69th in PASS YPG (231.6), and 55th in PASS YPA (7.2). On a slate with several WRs I would like to have in the $7K range, finding a cheaper QB is a must. O’Connell fits the bill at $6.5K.

Sean Clifford, Penn State vs Michigan State (DK: $6.1K | FD: $8.7K | O/U: 52.0 | Implied: 26.75)

Sean Clifford returns to the starting lineup after battling the flu last week. Inexplicably, Clifford has been in the $6K range the last few weeks while putting up good numbers. This week he faces the poor Michigan State PASS DEF ranked 115th in QB FPG (27.0) and 130th in PASS YPG (339.9). Needless to say, we will be targeting the Penn State passing game on the main slate this week.

Alternatives:

Brennan Armstrong, Virginia vs Virginia Tech (DK: $9.8K | FD: $10.7K | O/U: 62.5 | Implied: 34.75)

Jordan Travis, Florida State vs Florida (DK: $6.9K | FD: $9.0K | O/U: 59.0 | Implied: 28.25)

Anthony Richardson, Florida vs Florida State*** (DK: $6.0K | FD: $7.0K | O/U: 59.0 | Implied: 30.75)

Running Backs

Travis Dye, Oregon vs Oregon State (DK: $7.6K | FD: $9.5K | O/U: 61.0 | Implied: 34.0)

Travis Dye has his first down game versus Utah as Oregon’s RB1 since taking over for CJ Verdell, producing 4.5 FPs. In his previous five starts, Dye averaged 33.96 FPG. I expect Dye to bounce-back this week versus an Oregon State DEF ranked 105th in RB FPG (27.3). They have particularly struggled versus RBs who are good pass catchers allowing 5.1 receptions and 51.2 receiving yards per game along with 5 TDs. Dye is an excellent receiver with 33 receptions and 308 receiving yards this year. Dye is my favorite RB play on the slate.

Chase Brown, Illinois vs Northwestern (DK: $5.8K | FD: $6.8K | O/U: 43.5 | Implied: 25.0)

Chase Brown has been the bright spot of the Illinois offense this year averaging 99.2 YPG for 16.2 FPG. Unfortunately, he has been a bit streaky with 627 of 893 rushing yards coming in three games this year. However, this Northwestern DEF is the 2nd worst he has faced all season, ranked 113th in RB FPG (29.7), 118th in RUSH YPG (212.91) and 117th in RUSH YPC (5.3). Brown had 257 rushing yards and 2 TDs for 43.4 FPs versus a Charlotte DEF who is similarly ranked versus opposing RBs. At $5.8K, I fully expect Brown to hit value on this slate.

Blake Corum, Michigan vs Ohio State (DK: $4.4K | FD: $8.0K | O/U: 64.5 | Implied: 28.25)

Blake Corum has cooled off considerably since his hot start to the year, primarily due to a shoulder injury he suffered versus Indiana. However, if Corum plays, he is absolutely worth considering at $4.4K as he could absolutely hit value even against an improved Ohio State defense. If Corum is ruled out, then I’d switch over to Donovan Edwards after he had 10 catches and 170 receiving yards in Corum’s absence versus Maryland.

Alternatives:

BJ Baylor, Oregon State vs Oregon (DK: $7.1K | FD: $7.8K | O/U: 61.0 | Implied: 27.0)

Pat Garwo, Boston College vs Wake Forest (DK: $6.1K | FD: $7.7K | O/U: 64.5 | Implied: 29.75)

$4.5K-or-less options:

Byron Cardwell, Oregon vs Oregon State (DK: $4.0K | FD: $5.6K | O/U: 61.0 | Implied: 34.0)

Keyvone Lee, Penn State vs Michigan State (DK: $3.9K | FD: $6.5K | O/U: 52.0 | Implied: 26.75)

Miyan Williams, Ohio State vs Michigan (DK: $3.6K | FD: $5.7K | O/U: 64.5 | Implied: 36.25)

Josh McCray, Illinois vs Northwestern (DK: $3.1K | FD: $5.3K | O/U: 43.5 | Implied: 25.0)

Receivers

Jameson Williams, Alabama vs Auburn (DK: $8.6K | FD: $9.6K | O/U: 56.0 | Implied: 37.75)

Jameson Williams has the biggest beneficiary of Bryce Young’s hot streak. Over the last three weeks, Williams is averaging 8 receptions and 169.3 yards along with 7 TDs for 41.97 FPG. He has been everything and more that Alabama hoped for when they brought him in as a transfer from Ohio State. He faces an Auburn DEF ranked 84th in WR FPG (25.2), 78th in PASS YPG (235.9), and 65th in PASS YPA (7.3). I’m fully expecting another big week for Williams as the top stack on the slate with Young.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State vs Michigan (DK: $7.7K | FD: $8.6K | O/U: 64.5 | Implied: 36.25)

The emergence of Jaxon Smith-Njigba for Ohio State has taken this offense from really good to elite. Over the last three weeks, he is averaging 11.3 receptions and 162.7 receiving yards with 3 TDs for 36.5 FPG. This is a tough Michigan PASS DEF ranked 12th in WR FPG (15.9) and 8th in PASS YPG (178.4), but Ohio State appears to be matchup-proof at this point.

David Bell, Purdue vs Indiana (DK: $7.3K | FD: $9.2K | O/U: 50.5 | Implied: 32.75)

David Bell feels like he makes every write-up as he seems to have the perfect combination of production and price point each week. Bell is averaging 8.7 receptions and 120.7 receiving yards per game for 26.3 FPG. He only has 5 TDs on the year or his numbers would be much more gaudy. Bell faces an Indiana DEF ranked 59th in WR FPG (22.7), 69th in PASS YPG (231.6) and 55th in PASS YPA (7.2). Bell is a lock this week to hit value at $7.3K.

Parker Washington, Penn State vs Michigan State (DK: $4.1K | FD: $6.8K | O/U: 52.0 | Implied: 26.75)

Parker Washington is my favorite play this week on the slate. Over the last two weeks, he is averaging 5 receptions and 82 receiving yards with a TD for 16.2 FPG. At only $4.1K, he is almost guaranteed to hit value facing this Michigan State DEF ranked 130th in WR FPG (37.6) and 130th in PASS YPG (339.9). Washington should be a very popular play in CASH/SE (single-entry) contests this week.

Alternatives:

Jahan Dotson, Penn State vs Michigan State (DK: $7.9K | FD: $9.0K | O/U: 52.0 | Implied: 26.75)

Keytaon Thompson, Virginia vs Virginia Tech (DK: $7.2K | FD: $8.5K | O/U: 62.5 | Implied: 34.75)

Stephon Robinson, Northwestern vs Illinois (DK: $4.7K | FD: $6.3K | O/U: 43.5 | Implied: 18.5)

$4.5K-or-less options:

Kris Hutson, Oregon vs Oregon State (DK: $3.0K | FD: $5.2K | O/U: 61.0 | Implied: 34.0)
