Super Bowl LVI

We’ve finally made it to the BIG GAME and it’s a matchup that exactly 0.0% people predicted before the season. Cincinnati opened the season with 150/1 odds to win Super Bowl LVI while Los Angeles opened the season with the fourth-best odds to hoist the Lombardi Trophy at +1200. The Rams and Bengals won their respective conferences as four seeds, which means this will be the first Super Bowl without at least one top-three seed in the finals. Let’s kick off the props with Tee Higgins (Cin) over 68.5 passing yards (90 pts). Higgins hasn’t scored in four consecutive games, but he’s scored 16+ FP in each of his last two games with 7/96 receiving against the Titans and 6/103 versus the Chiefs. Higgins has reached 96+ receiving yards and 5+ catches in six of his last nine games since Week 12.

On the Rams’ side, I’m looking at Van Jefferson (LAR) under 2.5 receptions (100 pts). He’s battling through a knee injury in the playoffs and he managed just 2/9 receiving on five targets against the 49ers on an 87% snap share. He’s reached 3+ catches just once in his last eight games with Odell Beckham taking on a bigger role. I’ll finish up with Cam Akers (LAR) under 62.5 rushing yards (100 pts). His snap share plummeted from 81% in the Divisional Round to 39% in the Conference Championship Game. Akers is averaging just 2.6 YPC (59/154 rushing) in his first four games back from his torn Achilles. Sony Michel paced the backfield with a 57% snap share with Akers playing through a shoulder injury, and Darrell Henderson (knee) is expected to return to the lineup this week after a six-week layoff. Enjoy the final game of the season and, as always, good luck with your wagers! — Tom Brolley
