Isiah Pacheco (KC) over 9.5 receiving yards (-110, Bet365)

Pacheco is expected to return as Kansas City’s lead back after losing much of his 2024 campaign to a fibula injury. He’ll compete for snaps with Kareem Hunt, Elijah Mitchell, and Brashard Smith.

Hunt and Smith in particular pose a threat to Pacheco’s usage through the air, though with the former being in his age-30 season and the latter being a seventh-round rookie, Pacheco should see the bulk of receiving work in São Paulo.

On deck is a Chargers defense that deployed the third-highest rate of two-high safety coverages (58.6%) and the fourth-highest rate of zone coverages (77.7%) in its first season under DC Jesse Minter last year. Their emphasis on preventing explosive plays permits space in the shallow areas of the field; Los Angeles allowed the most targets (120) and the highest target share (21.2%) to running backs in 2024. An opposing back had 10+ receiving yards against the Chargers in 16 of 18 games (including playoffs).

Pacheco posted 33 and 21 receiving yards in the first two weeks last season before getting hurt, and in 2023, he had 10+ receiving yards in 11 of 18 games (including playoffs). He should see a checkdown target or four on Friday night and is always a threat to break loose in Andy Reid’s screen game.
