Washington signed Williams to a contract extension Tuesday.
Williams took two carries for four yards and caught two of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Eagles.
Williams is poised for a larger role this week with fellow Washington running back Antonio Gibson landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list two days before Sunday's game against the Eagles, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
