The Saints signed Sorensen to their practice squad Wednesday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Sorensen signed a contract with the Saints on Friday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Sorensen is expected to move into a reserve role Sunday in Washington, with Juan Thornhill replacing him as the Chiefs' starting free safety, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
