Thursday Night Football

This week’s Thursday Night Football game features two teams with a combined four wins, but it figures to be an exciting finish with the Falcons involved since they’ve seemingly invented ways to lose games this season. Todd Gurley is coming off a two-touchdown performance (Falcons fans wish it was a one-TD performance), which gives him seven scores in seven games and 65 scores in six seasons. The Panthers defense has allowed nine touchdowns to running backs this season after allowing 30 touchdowns to RBs last season so I’m taking Todd Gurley over .5 rushing TDs (110 pts). I’m also looking at Hayden Hurst over 35.5 receiving yards (90 pts) off a pair of strong showings since Julio Jones returned to the lineup. Hurst has seen six or more targets in three of his last four games, and his connection with Matt Ryan is starting to heat up. Good luck tonight! — Tom Brolley

I’m liking the two Davis props for Carolina. With no Christian McCaffrey tonight, Davis will get all the carries and targets he can handle against an Atlanta defense that actually holds up pretty well against the run. They average 92.5 YPG to running backs, but the Davis prop includes receiving, and he’s proven himself more than capable to handle the passing workload, so I’ll take both the Mike Davis over 93.5 rushing + Receiving yards (105 pts) and the Mike Davis 0.5 rushing + receiving TD (100 pts).— Justin Varnes

Sunday Games

The Steelers and the Ravens are the game of the day in Week 8 with supremacy in the AFC North up for grabs. Pittsburgh is the last unbeaten team in the league while the Ravens have won 15 of their last 16 regular season games dating back to last season. Mark Andrews has yet to hit 60+ receiving yards in a game this season and the Steelers have done a good job limiting opposing tight ends this season, but I’m going to go against the grain and take Mark Andrews over 42.5 receiving yards. This line is just too low for a player of Andrews’ caliber and the Ravens look to get him rolling coming out of their bye week. On the other side, I’m taking Diontae Johnson over 52.5 receiving yards despite tough matchups on the perimeter against this Ravens secondary. Johnson has double-digit targets and a 30% target share or better in each of his three full games so his yardage total is sitting too low for that kind of usage. I also like Stefon Diggs over 56.5 receiving yards and Brandon Aiyuk over 50.5 receiving yards this week. Diggs will have to deal with ugly conditions but Josh Allen will be getting him the rock anyway he can with Stephon Gilmore out of the lineup. Aiyuk gets the league’s best matchup against the Seahawks secondary and he should see an uptick in usage with Deebo Samuel out of the lineup with a hamstring injury. — Tom Brolley

With the young corners in Minnesota, I'm expecting Aaron Rodgers to spend the day looking for Adams to line up against this inexperienced secondary. Hence, I like the Davante Adams over 6.5 receptions (85 pts). When Ben DiNucci took his first snap in place of Andy Dalton, he immediately looked at his #1 wideout. I’m expecting a lot more of that this game, so I like the Amari Cooper over 5.5 receptions (110 pts). I also like Carson Wentz over 255.5 passing yards (105 pts) with both Jalen Raegor and Dallas Goedert back. — Justin Varnes
